We are ready to begin our SMS SPRING 2026 SEASON! ​ 1. Grades - Grade Checks are February 24 when the report cards are finalized. To be eligible for this Spring season, students must pass ALL of their classes from that grading period. Students must also continue to pass all their classes for the current grading period and each grading period of their season in order to stay on any Spring season sports team. 2. Physicals - Physicals must be on file with our middle school athletic department. If you need physical paperwork then you can visit our office or our SMS website. (Physicals must be on file BEFORE students can participate in tryouts or practices.) 3. Final Forms - Final Forms is how to track all of your student's athletic paperwork and how you 'sign up' for team rosters. You must update your Final Forms account once per school year. Click HERE to access the Final Forms page from our SMS Website. 4. Eventlink - Eventlink is how you can stay up to date with all schedules; practices, games, tryouts, and how coaches will send team messages, so it is important to get your account set up. You will need to download the Eventlink app or use the Eventlink website to create/log-in to an Eventlink account. Once you are logged in, please follow/subscribe to Scottsburg Middle School and the teams that you would like to receive messages from. 5. Practice Times - Our Spring sports begin at different times and that is why it is imperative that you get your Eventlink account updated so you can see and know all the information that is needed. 6. Baseball (6/7/8 Boys) - Open fields are Feb. 17-19 (right after school) at the middle school field. Tryouts are Feb. 24-25 (right after school) at the middle school field. 7. Wrestling - Wrestling has already started their season. Students must pass all of their classes to continue to be eligible. 8. Golf - There will be an information meeting for students in early March. All students interested should attend the meeting and will receive an information paper to bring home for the season. 9. Girls Tennis - Practice begins on March 9th, right after school, at Scottsburg Middle School tennis courts. 10. Softball - Coach's recommendation has been sent to the school board. Open Fields are Feb 17-19 (5:00-7:00pm). Tryouts are Feb. 24-25 (5:00-7:00pm). Official Practice ​starts Feb. 26. ALL practices and games will be at the SMS field. 11. Track and Field - Practice begins on March 2nd, right after school, at Scottsburg Middle School track. 12. Swimming - Practices are typically Monday-Thursday. (5:00-8:00pm). We leave from the gravel parking lot in front of the Central Office. Swimmers need to bring; swimsuit (one piece only for girls), goggles, towel, water bottle (cannot have drinks with colors or sweeteners on the pool deck), swim cap is optional, and obviously a change of clothes. 13. Communication - All communication about SMS athletics should go through the head coach and then to the SMS Athletic Director. ​ Go Warriors & Warriorettes!
